Zimbabwe barely clung on to win their Pool D match against Nepal by just 2 runs. A batting collapse left Zim struggling at 90/6 before a 7th-wicket partnership of 98 by Ryan Higgins and Glen Querl helped the team to a halfway-respectable total. Nepal, who have been something of a surprise package this tournament after causing England some problems earlier in the week, battled bravely but fell agonisingly short of their target by the end of their 50 overs.
The win leaves Zimbabwe on top of Pool D and assured of a place in the Super League stage of the competition if England beat Ireland tomorrow.
