Far be it for me to snigger at others misfortune, but there was a point during the post-match presentation after the first ODI that maybe sums up Zimbabwe’s current form. Michael Holding was interviewing an obviously nervous Terrence Duffin (I believe this was his first TV presentation, and to be fair he did have that distinctive “deer in headlights” expression on his face), and asked about Zim’s batting collapse. Duffin’s response? A nervous pause, then:
“Well, that’s our gameplan - it’s what we try to do.”
Surely not.
