CricInfo has more on the reorganisation of the domestic game in Zim. The problem they're trying to address is the poor quality of the game at club level, and the fact that few of the 10 new provinces would be able to raise a decent-quality first class squad. With this in mind, the national league (previously played at club level) will now be made up by five representative sides: the national team, Zimbabwe A, a Board XI, Zimbabwe Development and the National Academy. I can see the logic in what they're trying to do here, but there's a problem in that playing 5 "national" teams doesn't give people much to latch onto in terms of supporting them - there's nothing in each side, other than perhaps the full national team, that spectators can connect to. It may have been wiser retaining the provincial names for that reason.
The Logan Cup, meanwhile, will now be contested between Manicaland, Midlands, Harare and Bulawayo sides.

Hallo, I would like to find out what is happening to A.Blignaut & G.Cremer as their names aren't appearing on the Lion's squad for next season? The same goes to T. Friend, Vermullen, B.Rogers & Ferreira. Keep up the good work!
If I recall correctly, Blignaut's spot with the Lions was arranged by ZC as a development move before they ended up in dispute over match payments (there was a similar arrangement made for Tatenda Taibu with another SA franchise side, but he never took up the spot after resigning the captaincy) - I doubt ZC will have made any effort to renew the arrangement now that Blignaut's not playing for Zim. He did well for the Lions in the Pro20 series, but didn't make a huge impact for them otherwise.
Cremer trialled for the Lions, but wasn't signed. The other ones, I'm not honestly sure - I believe Friend is still in England & Vermuellen is playing at club level in Zim, but I haven't been able to dig up any recent information on their form or which clubs they're with.
