Africa University picked up the inaugral Inter-Varsity Twenty20 title after last weekend's tournament at Lomagundi College, after convincing wins over Chinhoyi UT and Midlands State. Their final match against UZ was abandoned due to bad light. Sadly, neither the ZC website nor The Herald's report on the tourney include a complete list of scores.

ZC Development Manager was generally pleased with the tournament's results, while admitting there were improvements that could be made:

"Being the first such tournament of its kind there is still room for a lot more improvements to be made. First and foremost is the need to develop facilities and make equipment available to all these institutions. [...] The coaches that ZC deployed to all these tertiary institutions are also doing a splendid job and their efforts showed clearly on the pitch. We have come up with a provisional squad of 15 players who are going into a high performance centre soon."
