Hallo there!
Of what use are such matches if they can't be used to produce players for the national team in a clear/open & logical manner?I think Butterworth is wasting his time & efforts as Mangongo will never let him on the national team because his WHITE!
Why is Katseni called up ahead of all the guys that proved themselves WORTHY of a place on the team, yet he(Katseni) hardly caught anyone's attention in the just concluded limited overs tournament?Could it be because his from Takashinga?
Lastly, what are the team's prospects in this world cup having put G.Flower's comments in mind if they are credible?

Mangongo's not on the selection panel (Kenyon Ziehl, Jackie du Preez, Vumi Moyo and Steyn Kombayi) so I don't know how much influence he'd have over selection. His involvement with Takashinga does mean their players get more exposure, just by virtue of the fact that he sees more of them than he does of other teams. If it were up to me I'd make him choose to work with either ZC or Takashinga, but not both - but I don't have any say in the matter!

Butterworth has been getting plenty of good press of late, not least on ZC's own website, so to say he's being ignored is maybe overstating it. He's just been named to the 'A' side after this week's national trials, and as long as he stays in his current form I'd expect him to appear for the full side before too long - especially if the likes of Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Masakadza don't find their form again soon.

World Cup: they'll beat Ireland (and as a member of the Irish Cricket Union, it pains me to say that, but Ireland's ODI form at the moment is lousy) - the only Associate side worth their place on current form is Kenya, possibly Scotland on a good day. Both Pakistan and West Indies are possible targets - Pakistan in particular are in a mess at the moment - but they'll need a huge amount of luck if they're to reach the Super Eight stage. It's not impossible, but I'm not going to put any money on it. One win would be consistent with their seeding (they're seeded 9th in the tournament and aren't expected to progress anyway), so that would be considered an "acceptable" tournament for them.
