Brendan Taylor’s outstanding performance against Australia has been rewarded by Zimbabwe Cricket, with his ZC contract upped from a ‘C’ to an ‘A’, putting him alongside Tatenda Taibu and Vusi Sibanda on the pay scales. According to CricInfo, some other (unnamed) players have also had their contracts revised, in light of both player discontent & performances. Can’t speak for the rest until (if) their names are released, but on this occasion Taylor certainly earned it.
CricInfo - Zimbabwe board revises central contract offers
Should have been awarded an “A” level contract in the first place. Nevertheless, Taylor has earned this.
I’d have called him a ‘B’ overall before the tournament, myself - when he’s on form he really does shine, but there’s a lack of consistency there that needs to be worked on. Perhaps an ‘A’ contract will be a good incentive towards that.
How much it’s worth when paid in zimdollars is another thing, of course…
ZC learn to be serious,we are sick and tired of these small issues, give the players their rightful amounts its as simple as all that.Pliz dont destroy this team, keep it intact, otherwise if you are tired of cricket pliz just honourably leave the game.cricket in Zim can not die simply becaz someone wants to please his selfish interests.
