Don't know too much about Sri Lankan cricket, let alone the personnel in their "A" team, but I'd say this series would be 50/50. You'd assume there would be a few fringe players in the Sri Lankan "A" team, maybe a few that have played Test's, so I'd expect them to be decent competition.

Sri Lanka A just completed a 9-match tour of England - you can find the details here. Shoud be a good work-out for Zim - certainly no walk-overs...

were did you found out the changes to the fixtures

Looking forward to seeing who is in the Provinces team. Will give a pretty good indication of what to expect in the South African competition.

Don't think it's the same "Provinces" side - Zim's opening SAA Provincial fixture is scheduled for the 11th-13th October in Bulawayo, which clashes directly with the two warm-up matches here. More of a Zimbabwe 'B' side, possibly. Still be curious to see who gets selected for it, though...

From zimcricket.org:

"The Zimbabwe A side for the SAA Prov B three-dayer:
Blessing Mahwire (captain), Regis Chakabva, Eric Chauluka, Tendai Chisoro, Graeme Cremer, Terrence Duffin, Trevor Garwe, Tafadzwa Kamungozi, Admire Manyumwa, Alester Maregwede, Tinotenda Mawoyo, Stephen Nyamuzinga and Prosper Tsvanhu."

The team is of decent strength. A few names in there that are new to me, but a bit of experience, which is good.

I dont know why Rainsford isn't any of the teams.

well looking at the ZIM provinces side they have only 4 reguler batsmen, also where are Mufambisi and kisteny, they were thought of real talent for ZIM at one stage. I am not sure if both of them playing cricket or they opted for another profession.

I feel Mufambisi is overrated. He played in the Logan Cup if I recall correctly, so I assume he is still on the scene.

Kasteni was thrown in to the deep end and really struggled. He is just not up to it at this stage.

Rainsford is very unlucky, I don't know why he isn't able to make any of the teams. Butterworth too. Very strange.

well politics seems really hurting ZIM cricket, I wish they sort it out and have a strong cricket team in future, I think they already lost many players they can't afford such more losses.I hope in the end of day it all go in right way.

well news on macth between SRILANKA A and ZIMBABWE TEAM.its sad that CHIGUMBIRA to miss 1st match.
