Closer than the 3-dayer, but not close enough, with Easterns’ Geoffrey Toyana being a real thorn in Provinces’ side. Both sides had six batting scores under 10, which would indicate that the pitch perhaps wasn't up to scratch, but in the end Easterns managed to conditions better than Provinces did, and reached their target with 8 balls remaining in their innings. Hamilton Masakadza top-scores for Provinces with 73, while Taurai Muzarabani and Trevor Garwe took two apiece with the ball.
Result: Zimbabwe Provinces 191/8 (45/45 overs; Masakadza 73, Toyana 3/23); Easterns 195/6 (43.4/45 overs; Toyana 87*, Muzarabani 2/33). Easterns win by 4 wickets.. Scorecard below the cut.

Comments
They dropped RB for this match, real masterstroke to replace him with Alois Tichana (duck)...
As always, it's only the int'l players that did well. Masakadza 73, Cremer 32 and Duffin 26.
Another disappointing performance.
well , again dissappointing. these are 2 nd stride south african domestic sides, such perofrmances against these teams realy show how bad cricket is in zim at moment.
Namibia is doing rally well against such teams. so i am sure namibia have better future in cricket than zim once they get ODI status.
Remember though, that is the Namibian first eleven. Zimbabwe's first eleven would slaughter Namibia and any of the South African provincial side.
But Zimbabwe has no depth. Players 15 - 22 are quite poor, and not up to domestic standard, let alone international standard.
well that might be case, i still think zim 1st eleven is unpredictable, they might lose out to namibia as they are performing now, but they certainly got potential to beat any nation on thier given day.i am surprized about the standards of ZIM cricket, i thought they got good school cricket going on?.they should ahve some decent players for back up.May be thye needed to send thier A team and UNDER 19 teams to some country for some good experience.
