Zimbabwe 256 (Dabengwa 79, Kreusch 3/28) & 42/2 (Masakadza 22*, Mjekula 1/17), South African Composite XI 353 (McLaren 80, Koortzen 80, Utseya 5/70). Composite have 1st-innings lead of 97.
Composite built themselves a useful lead during their innings, taking advanatge of a Zimbabwean bowling attack that was a tad on the tame side - although Utseya's recent run of good wicket-taking form continued as he took a decent 5/70. Composite reached tea with four wickets still in hand, but Zimbabwe cleaned them up without too much trouble to give themselves some time with the bat before close of play. They didn't get off to the greatest of starts, either - Vusi Sibanda headed back to the pavilion before any runs were scored, while Chamu Chibhabha followed at the close of play, leaving Zim on 42/2 and still 55 runs behind. They have a lot of work to do tomorrow...
