A slightly more competitive match than the last one, here - Easterns have been loaded with talent from the other provinces (part of ZC's not-entirely-successful attempt to balance the sides), while Centrals again suffer from a lack of recognisable names, with Ed Rainsford and Friday Kasteni being probably the best-known in the side. Centrals won the toss and elected to field, allowing Easterns to set the pace. The top three of Tino Mawoyo, Stuart Matsikenyeri and Hamilton Masakadza promptly obliged, help the side on the way to a total of 175/3 from their 20 overs. Matsikenyeri top-scored on 61, while new name Brighton Mugochi was the best of the Centrals bowling, with 1/19 from 4 overs.

In reply, Central predictably failed to get any sort of momentum going. The top "scorer" for the side was Extras, with 18 freebies given away by the Easterns attack; Michael Chinouya was the best with the bat, stranded at 17* at the end of the innings as Centrals spluttered their way to 121.
