The morning of Day Three, and while Southerns were out of the chase for a place in the final, Centrals still had a shout and so would have been looking for a win in this match. They won the toss and elected to field, giving Southerns a chance to apply some early pressure, and with half-centuries from both their openers (Richmond Mutumbami scoring 58 and Chamu Chibhabha adding 59), they looked to have done just that. The following batsmen added just 17, but the side's final score of 141/3 from their 20 overs looked good enough to defend. Remembrance Nyathi took 1/23 for Centrals.

After seeing their batsmen do a decent job, Southerns' bowlers picked up the baton and reduced Centrals to tatters, along with their chances of reaching the final. Only Eric Chauluka (28) made any real contribution as Centrals collapsed to 111 all-out in the 19th over, giving Southerns the win and bonus point for their efforts - too late to help them reach the final, but no less satifying, I'm sure.
