Back to the mismatches on the afternoon of Day Two, and Easterns met Southerns. Southerns won the toss and elected to bat first, and once again having been given a decent start by their openers (Terrence Duffin with 39 and Chamu Chibhabha with 43), their lower order failed to do its job - although their eventual score of 130/6 may not have seemed to bad at first. A top order collapse during Easterns' reply would have given Southerns hope, too - but the arrival of Tina Mawoyo at the crease ended those hopes, as he powered his way to an unbeaten 64 off 46 balls, seeing Easterns home with over 4 overs to spare.
