Brent and Duffin On Their Way Out?

CricInfo have an article up about the apparent retirement of Gary Brent and Terrence Duffin from international cricket, which I'm going to report for curiosity value. First up, CricInfo have a chequered record on this sort of this (it wasn't long ago they were claiming Vusi Sibanda was staying in Australia). Second, Terrence Duffin can hardly "retire" from the national squad when he hasn't featured in it for quite some time anyway. His recent form has been woeful, so his absence from the top Zimbabwean sides is fully justified.

Brent's naming is more of a cause for concern, so I'll be waiting for Zim's next international game to see what happens - but he can hardly claim to have been on the wrong end of selection issues, as he's essentially a must-pick player at the moment. He's also featured heavily during the Logan Cup, whereas if he was having problems with ZC I'd have expected him to be sidelined. So I'm going to call this "rumour" for now and wait & see...
